My roommate, who loves the Jump manga version, actually thought the first episode was kind of boring. However, the series really picks up on the second episode.
Beautiful Bones -Sakurako's Investigation- is something I'm currently enjoying. It's not the best mystery series out there, but the animation is gorgeous and I like the dynamic and banter between the main characters.
Meanwhile, Mr. Osomatsu is an interesting interpretation of an old '60s manga (which had two adaptation: one in 1966-67 and the other in 1988-89). For the new version, which is a parodic comedy akin to Gintama (with a director who worked on it no less), they decided to ditch the old gags and be more self-aware. The first episode shows them trying to adapt to modern audiences and ends with the brothers and other characters directly riding on the coattails of all the currently popular series and tropes to appeal to viewers, losing sight of what they were doing in the first place. So... basically its Gintama.
Although nowhere close to being great, I'm enjoying Lance N' Masques because HORSE.
However, IMO the best series this season is probably Kagewani. Although it's a short monster mystery anime with a duration of roughly 8 minutes, it spends it well with great writing and character development, especially in its second episode. On top of that, the style it uses is gorgeous and uses simplistic animation, like it's predecessor Yamishibai, (which I still need to watch).
